Required Documents
- Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months.
- Citizenship Certificate: Issued by your home country
- Zairyu Card: Residence Card, preferably with a long-term visa.
- Juminhyo: Residence Certificate, available at the city office.
- Kazei/Nozei Shomeisho: Latest tax documentation, obtainable from the city office.
- Bank Balance Certificate: (Zandakashomeisho) Proof of adequate funds.
- Ginko Torihiki Meisaisho: Bank statements covering the last 6 months.
If You Are an Employee of a Company
- Zaishokusyomeisho: Employment Certificate from your employer.
- Kyukashomeisho: Leave Certificate, if available.
- Kyuryo Meisaisho: Payslips for the last 6 months for income verification.
If You Are a Business Visa Holder
- Tohon: Business Registration document.
- Eigyo Kyokasho: Copy of Business License for verification.
- Kessan Report: Latest year’s profit and loss statement, demonstrating business stability.
Applying with Dependents (Spouse or Children)
- Zaishokusyomeisho: Required if the spouse is a part-time employee.
- Kazei/Nozei Shomeisho: Only if the spouse has income for the previous year.
